Your role

We're looking for an MLOps Engineer to :

design, plan and deliver scalable & resilient solutions using the latest technologies
provide technical solutions that will vastly improve the lives of the data scientists, quants and IT
bring huge cost savings to UBS by improving the time to market of our AI / ML applications, whilst adhering to the operational controls andernance procedures
identify opportunities to bring in the best of breed technical solutions that will enable our AI / ML development practices to be world class

Some of the potential projects are :

decouple the application from the AI model so that IT puts the app in production, and the model developer can deploy the model independently

automate the packaging of models and deployment into environment, with traceability on model version, experimentation and control checks

enable shadow testing (for the engineers) so that authorized testers can see the output of the model (akin to a parallel run for the model but without using it)

provide continuous model performance to track model performance metrics (accuracy) and detect performance drift and generate anomaly & impact alerts when there is a data quality or model degradation

perform FinOps integration

provideernance, auditability and model re-use / knowledge sharing through an easy to navigate portal

tooling to generate automatedpliance documentation for models

provide security protection (malicious code execution, prompt injection, data leakage, inadequate sandboxing)

Your team

Join our MLOps team, an important unit within the Core Platform Engineering (CPE) department at UBS, operating under the GCTO function in the Technology Services division. CPE spearheads strategic technology projects, transformative initiatives, and regulatorypliance efforts. The MLOps team collaborates closely with the Applied AI & ML teams as part of the AI Accelerate initiative and plays a crucial role in optimizing efficiency and delivering quality service and products to our data scientists and engineers.

Your expertise

polyglot developer, able to code (or learn quickly) multiple languages such as python, java, javascript, html, golang, etc.

able to quickly pickup multiple technologies and use them in the correct manner

must know CI / CD pipelines and Agile frameworks, preferably with the MLOps context

understanding or familiar with : SciKit-Learn, TensorFlow, Torch, ChatGPT, Llama, LangChain (or equivalent), RAG, Model Security, Jupyter Notebook / JupyterLab, Unit Testing, Integration Testing, E2E Testing, ETL / ELT, Python Virtual Environment, Containerization with Docker / Podman, GitLab, Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, Azure Load Balancer,munication Standards,munication Security, Non-functional KPIs (performance, scalability...), Splunk, Graphana, Kubernetes Container Monitoring.

produce secure and clean code that is stable, scalable, operational, and well-performing. Understand the security principles in the banking systems, and be up to date with the latest standards (security, best practices) in IT

knowledge in SQL, NoSQL, Vector DB, Graph DB is a plus
