Job Title : Senior IT ProcurementManager

Location : Geneva,Switzerland

Position Overview :

Ananonymous client based in Geneva is seeking anexperienced Senior IT Procurement Manager to lead andoversee their IT procurement operations. The role involves managinga team of three procurement specialists, handling supplierrelationships, and driving procurement strategies for IT licenses,time and material contracts, and major IT projects. The idealcandidate will have more than 10 years of relevant experience, aproven ability to manage significant budgets, and fluency inEnglish.

KeyResponsibilities :

  • Team Leadership : Guide, mentor, and manage a team of three IT procurementspecialists, ensuring alignment with organizationalgoals.
  • Procurement Strategy : Develop andimplement procurement strategies for IT licenses, time and materialservices, and large-scale projects.
  • SupplierRelationship Management : Oversee negotiations, contract management,and performance evaluations of key IT vendors andsuppliers.
  • Budget Oversight : Manage andoptimize significant budgets, ensuring cost control and alignmentwith financial objectives.
  • Compliance and RiskManagement : Ensure all procurement activities comply with localregulations, internal policies, and contractualobligations.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration : Workclosely with internal teams and departments to understand needs andalign procurement processes with businessgoals.
  • Continuous Improvement : Identifyopportunities to enhance procurement processes, leveraging dataanalytics and markettrends.

Requirements :

  • Experience : At least 10 years of experience in IT procurement, vendormanagement, and contract negotiation, preferably in a corporate ormultinational environment.
  • Leadership : Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage complex procurementoperations.
  • Financial Acumen : Proven experiencehandling large budgets and delivering cost-effectivesolutions.
  • Technical Expertise : Strongunderstanding of IT contracts, licensing agreements, andprocurement best practices.
  • Language Skills : Fluency in English (written and spoken); andFrench
  • Education : A degree in BusinessAdministration, IT, or a related field. Certification inprocurement (e.g., CIPS) is highlydesirable.
