Is Technical Project Manager Erp Transformation

In your role as IS Project Manager you will be responsible for the overall delivery of IS-specific activities within Accelleron s upcoming ERP Transformation, which will migrate our two legacy ECC SAP systems to S4 / HANA in Switzerland and China. This includes managing all IS workstreams, coordinating dependencies between technical domains and ensuring alignment with the global project structure and timeline.

You will work closely with the Business Project Manager, the Workstream Leads and the IS Project Manager in China to ensure a consistent, transparent and efficient approach across both regions. Together you will plan, monitor and control the IS deliverables throughout all project phases from preparation to implementation, ensuring that business and technical objectives are met in time, quality and budget.

The IS Project Manager will play a central role in bridging business process requirements with technical solutions, ensuring that end-to-end process views are maintained and that integrations between applications, infrastructure and data are handled in a structured and compliant way. You will lead technical workstreams and coordinate with functional teams to ensure critical topics are delivered, including infrastructure, basis, technical tools, migration, integration, development, security and authorizations, resulting in a coherent and robust system landscape.

This role requires an experienced project manager with a deep understanding of modern SAP technologies, including S4 / HANA, SAP BTP and cloud-based integrations. You should be able to navigate complex ERP deployment environments, anticipate technical and organizational challenges and proactively manage risks and mitigations. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential to engage stakeholders across different business units, functions and geographies.

In this role you will report to the Head of IS Production & Value Chain. You will collaborate closely with Accelleron s central transformation office and the global IS leadership team to ensure alignment, visibility and successful delivery of this key strategic project.

Your responsibilities :

• Support the Business Project Manager in preparing comprehensive project plans, including timelines, gates, milestones and a detailed rollout plan.
• Serve as the main point of contact for the implementation partner, internal application and infrastructure team to ensure smooth execution across preparation, exploration, implementation and Go-Live phases.
• Facilitate the design, review, high-level definition and its implementation of the overall process and system landscape during the project.
• Review technical change requests and escalate them to the Change Request Decision Board for approval.
• Coordinate activities between IS application owners and technical teams to ensure alignment with project objectives and timelines.
• Ensure that business requirements are translated into clear technical specifications and gaps are identified early in the process.
• Provide support to business teams during User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring all system requirements are met.
• Collaborate with relevant parties for system and client setup as well as system updates throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure seamless delivery of the realize and deploy activities.
• Act as deployment lead and cutover manager during Go-Live phase.
• Act as a thought leader for any architectural and technology related topics.
• Run project risk and issue management meetings for IS-related topics, ensuring proper follow-through on mitigation actions when risks are identified.
• Monitor and communicate project status, progress, risks and technical issues, initiating corrective actions where needed.
• Regularly report progress and issues to the Business Project Manager and stakeholders, escalating issues when necessary.
• Manage governance processes related to requirements specification, testing, documentation, deployment and cutover.

Your background :

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, influence and / or manage stakeholders across multiple levels and from diverse disciplines.

Results-driven and hands-on, with a strong focus on achieving project outcomes.

Extensive experience managing complex ERP transformation projects, with a specific focus on technical workstreams.

Previous experience leading functional workstreams in similar projects is a plus.

Excellent oral and written communication skills, ensuring clarity and alignment across all involved parties.

Demonstrated experience in SAP deployments and other large-scale ERP systems.

Strong risk management capabilities, with the ability to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks in a timely manner.
