Mechanical Design Engineer (SolidWorks Specialist)

Do you have previous experience in Mechanical design and CAD Design using SolidWorks ? We are looking for a full time Mechanical Design Engineer (m / f) who could join our team in Zurich.

Function :   Mechanical Design Engineer (SolidWorks Specialist)

Job Type :   Full Time position

Knowledge & Previous Experiences :   2+ years experience with SolidWorks is mandatory.

Education :    Mechanical Engineering, University of Applied Sciences, Federal Certificate of Competence EFZ or equivalent

Languages :   FluentEnglish oral & written. German represents a plus.

Personal traits :   We are looking for someone with a structured and disciplined approach to work, coupled with strong attention to detail. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, proactive in tackling challenges independently, and capable of managing their responsibilities with minimal supervision. Success in this role requires adaptability to shifting priorities, the ability to stay organized, and a collaborative spirit to contribute effectively within a small, fast-paced Engineering team.

Other requirements :   Only Swiss residency will be considered

Key Requirements :

• Highly skilled in SolidWorks
• Ability to create Technical Assembly and Work Instruction
• Familiarity with  PDM / PLM systems  for data and revision control
• Experience with  Design for Manufacturing (DFM)  and  Design for Assembly (DFA)  principles
• Proficiency in  tolerance analysis  and  GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
• Knowledge of  plastic part design  and  silicone injection moulding  processes
• Ability to create prototypes with rapid prototyping tools.
• Familiarity with  3D printing technologies : FDM, SLA, MultiJet / PolyJet, and SLS
• Experience in traditional manufacturing processes (molding, machining, composite materials, etc.)
• Ability to  adapt to changing priorities  in a fast-paced engineering environment
• Strong attention to details and technical accuracy.
• Team player attitude, proactivity, and willingness to learn
