A full-time special education teacher

Deployed across several sites, the Institution of Lavigny is looking for a full-time special education teacher (100%). The Institution consists of a neurological hospital on two sites, a housing department for adults with disabilities, whether intellectual or physical, a specialized school, and a sector and department of the specialized school La Passerelle, which accommodates children aged 6 to 18 years facing developmental and learning difficulties. It provides comprehensive support for the child, including schooling, therapeutic interventions and follow-ups, with the possibility of weekly and reception times. We are looking for: A full-time special education teacher. The special education teacher will share responsibility for a class of 7 students with learning disabilities of neurodevelopmental origin. In close collaboration with a social worker, they will design and implement a personalized and ambitious educational project, tailored to the specific needs of each student. They will benefit from the support of a dynamic interdisciplinary team available on the school site to assist with educational projects. We require: A recognized special education teaching qualification, completed or in progress, with experience working with children facing developmental difficulties; A good knowledge of the Romand Curriculum; Some initial experience in Swiss territory; The ability to work in a multidisciplinary team; A strong interest and skills for working with families.
