Investment Director (Value Creation)

Our client is a European Infrastructure Manager with global expansion plans. For their new created Value Creation team, we are looking for a Director to take care of new and existing portfolio companies. This role requires strong communication skills, with an ability to engage across a range of portfolio businesses, understand different business models and work proactively with the respective CEO's of each portfolio business on strategy and value-driving initiatives. As such we are seeking a strategic thinker with an affinity with the Infrastructure / Energy Transition sector, preferably Transportation. Strong analytical skills, extensive financial expertise, and experience in managing operations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will work alongside the investment team to develop and manage the portfolio companies.Monitor and implement the business plan and value creation work for portfolio companiesEstablish, and manage relationship with the C-level potential investors and business partnersBuild business network and ecosystem within the Transportation and Energy field with long-lasting relationshipsInvolved in the operational due diligence process of new companies / investmentsIdentify potential business opportunities within the portfolio companiesActively involved in the operational due diligence on potential investments and project financeLead or coordinate and negotiate with the different stakeholders of thePresent business recommendations to the executive committee and CEOBuild strong relationships with portfolio company C-levelLead strategy in financial and operational optimization and valuationDrive Financial best practice across the SETF PortfolioCollaborate with the finance committee and working with the relevant internal colleagues and the board of directors, ensure each portfolio company delivers annual budget and revised 5-year plan within the expected time-frameAdvise team members of relevant market informationA member of the Board of portfolio companies and reports to the Head of InvestmentsInvestment Director role in European Infrastructure ManagerPromising career opportunityMaster's degree in business administration engineering or science an MBA is a plus10+ years of experience in an Investment or Senior leadership role within an Energy or Transportation companyProven track record in financial management, operational execution and due diligence or corporate M&A experience within an infrastructure companyTop tier strategy consulting or Private Equity, Infrastructure background preferably in combination with corporate experience within a transportation companyDeep understanding, knowledge and insight of the market, preferably has already well-established good business connections in the Energy, transportation fieldExcellent networking skill and persuasive conversation skill, with the ability to communicate and negotiate with senior management both internally and externallyExperience in project finance execution is an advantageHands-on, self-starter with a pragmatic approach and the ability to do things by him / herself, autonomouslyIntegrity and loyalty and strong people skills to adapt to different culturesSelf-driven entrepreneurial mindsetGreat communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information various stakeholdersFluent in English, German is an advantageBe part of a dynamic, fast-growing organizationExciting opportunities for personal and professional growth Flexible working schedule Be part of a talented and diverse team...
