As an Embedded Software Development Engineer with a focus on Fieldbus Technologies, you will play an important role in ensuring the projects are delivered on time, within budget, and of high quality. As the specialist in this topic, you will greatly impact the success of the GF Process Automation product portfolio.

Develop embedded software for sensors and actuators for the Process IndustryIntegrate fieldbus protocols, for eg. Profinet, Ethernet / IP, and Modbus / TCP Conduct integration tests. Take care of the devices’ approvalCollaborate with hardware engineers and software engineers in-house and abroad as well as with external service providersEnsure quality as well as efficient and timely deliveryStay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologiesSupporting lifecycle management of existing fieldbus-based products

Bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent in electrical engineering, computer science, or comparableA minimum of 5 years experience in developing embedded software in an industrial environmentExperience with digital connectivity, eg. Profinet, EtherNet / IP, Modbus / TCP, IO-Link Experience in modern C (C 11 and higher), with ARM Cortex MCUs as well as embedded OS Experience in Scrum or similar agile methodologiesExperience with cyber security, eg. IEC62443-4 is a plusEnglish on a good level is a mustA valid work permit for Switzerland or at least an EU citizenship
