Responsibilities :
Provide technical expertise and administration in maintenance related areas.
Communication and escalation to management of workshop related asset, tooling and equipment issues, maintain repair and quality standards.
Apply for tools and / or equipment to the supervisor or workshop manager.
Perform all workshop activities that are necessary for the smooth running of the workshop within the function in consultation with the supervisor or workshop manager.
Raise the quality of services in the workshop.
Find the solution of complex problems.
Pass information found on the resolution of complex faults through communication with the supervisor or workshop manager.
Ask and / or provide unsolicited advice to immediate supervisor, leading to improved result and the continuity of the organization.
Ensure correct and in time communication to the customer.
Complete additional courses if requested.
Use Thermo King Wintrac software, read out data, make a temperature print.
Check and Diagnose of various Thermo King Loggers.
Advanced troubleshoot Reefer with Wintrac Software.
Carrier Tru-Tech software, read out data, make a temperature print.
Check and Diagnose of various Carrier Loggers.
Advanced troubleshoot reefer with Tru-Tech software.
Meet local Government requirements to be allowed to handle refrigerants fillings up to 10 kilo.
Replace Oil, oil filter, fuel filter, Air filter.
Adjust rocker valves, replace cylinder gasket, cooling system, turbo, intercooler, maintenance full system, check / replace electrical system, exhaust system.
Diagnose engine failures , usage off Diagnose computer.
Visual check refrigerant level ( Sightglass receiver tank ) Check oil level Compressor, visual check for refrigerant leak, compressor oil leak.
Minor repairs / Service, Install Pressure gauges Replace drier, perform annual leak check. Check Valves for operation.
Install Pressure gauges, perform Diagnose, replace valves, vibtasorbers, pressure transducers, Perform various tests, Recover refrigerant.
B Service ( Interim ) Run Pretrip, Check all liquids, check belts / fans ( Noise and bearing play ) See service Sheet. Always download data note operating hours.
A Service ( Major ) Same as Below plus Replace oil and filters according to manufacturer specifications.
in the event they are needed. Check for Calibration, Annual check ( Refrigerant ) All documents must be saved ( Digital is best, as they are easy to find ).
Replace, starter motor, fuel and speed solenoid, various 12 volt components.
Read electrical schematics, troubleshoot electrical harness problems, shorts / and grounded wires.
Check heater bars, fans 380 AC and 12 volt DC, replace noisy bearings in fans / electric motors where possible, .
Replace panels and doors.
Repair broken or dent panels, ( Metal or Fiber ) Paintjob ( Panels are very expensive parts on reefer ).
Straighten out frame after accident. Cut out parts of damaged frame, weld in new profiles that meet manufacturer standards.
Basic Qualifications :
Minimum of 5 years technical & industry related experience.
High level off technical training Truck & trailer.
Ability to communicate with stakeholders externally and internally.
