What you’ll do :

Conceptual Leadership

  • Strategic Direction : Develop and execute the R&D initiatives in alignment with the company’s overall business objectives and product roadmap.
  • Product Development Lifecycle : Oversee the end-to-end development lifecycle of company products according to approved Product RoadMap, ensuring high-quality deliverables and timely execution.
  • Cooperate with Product team on Product RoadMap development, as well as identifying product requirements and development priorities.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration : Collaborate with other teams, including Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Technical, as well as R&D team of acquired brands to align product development with market needs, technology capacity and customer expectations.

People Leadership

  • Team Design : Define structure of coherent R&D team with effective cross-functional cooperation to drive innovation, enhance collaboration, and ensure seamless integration across different R&D initiatives.
  • Team Leadership & Management : Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team across various development teams, including SMS Firewall Solutions, CPaaS Platform, MNP and others.
  • Talent Development : Recruit, mentor, and develop top talent within the R&D Center, ensuring a high level of technical expertise and professional growth.
  • Culture Building : Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the R&D teams.
  • Performance Management : Implement best practices in performance evaluation, feedback, and professional development to build a high-performing team.

Business Process & Delivery Leadership

  • Project Management : Implement best practices in project management (using tools like Jira, Click-Up, etc), software development, and quality assurance to ensure efficient and effective execution of R&D projects according to the approved roadmap.
  • Resource Allocation : Manage the R&D budget and resources, to optimize efficiency and productivity.
  • Process Optimization : Continuously evaluate and improve R&D processes to enhance productivity and innovation.
  • Accountability for Deliverables : Ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of all R&D projects and initiatives. Ensure that all technical documentation is duly developed, saved at company secure info storage, and available to the team upon request.
  • Strategic Partnerships : Build and maintain strategic partnerships with external vendors and top customers (upon request).
  • Results Measurement : Track and measure the impact of R&D activities on business outcomes and adjust approach as needed to achieve desired impact.

Stakeholder Management & Communication

  • Present R&D projects, progress, and outcomes to the respective CxO and other C-levels (upon request).
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for R&D-related matters, both internally and externally.
  • Lead research initiatives, exploring and validating new technologies to maintain our competitive edge.
  • Represent the company at technological events, conferences, and forums, sharing insights and driving thought leadership.
  • Contribute to knowledge-sharing within the organization, educating teams on advancements and best practices in R&D to foster innovation across departments.

What we expect :

Education & Experience

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within a technology company.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and managing large-scale R&D teams and projects, ideally in similar field.

Technical Skills

  • Strong hands-on engineering understanding of CPaaS platform.
  • Deep understanding of AI technology (generative and conversational AI) would be a strong plus. Understanding of MNP and SMS Firewall solutions is optional.
  • Strong expertise in software development methodologies, infrastructure design, and project management (Agile).

Leadership & Soft Skills

  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong business acumen and project management skills. Entrepreneurial spirit, resilience and passion for success are a must.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a strong aptitude for stakeholder management.
