As a global leader, indie's photonics team specializes in developing advanced optical systems and components that drive progress across various industries—from material processing, quantum technologies, LiDAR, navigation, sensing, and imaging, to augmented reality and medical applications.

At indie Technologies Switzerland (former Exalos, part of the indie Semiconductor group) we focus on the design, development, manufacturing and sales of advanced light source solutions based on Superluminescent Light Emitting Diodes (SLEDs) and Laser Diodes (LDs).

To reinforce our R&D and small-series production activities at our site in Ecublens , near Lausanne, we are currently looking for a talented engineer with a strong problem-solving attitude that will contribute to the development of new optoelectronic components (visible light sources) based on III-nitride semiconductor materials.

Your area of activity will be testing of optoelectronic components, data analysis, III-V semiconductors, development of high-tech products.

Start date : April 1st,or to be agreed

Key Responsibilities :

• Take the lead on electro-optical characterization tools / laboratory and related LabVIEW software.
• Perform routine characterization of optoelectronic components and reporting.
• Perform statistical data analysis and draw consistent conclusions, including reporting.
• Design and implement new electro-optical characterization experiments with the objective of continuous product improvement.
• Failure analysis and validation of device design changes.
• Physical comprehension : simulate physical phenomena related to specific device behaviors and compare with measurements.
• Contribute to semiconductor chip packaging activities.
