Position Summary

As a “Senior External Communication Specialist for Zone Europe”, you will be responsible for developing and steering Zone-wide external communications strategy that protects and elevates Nestlé’s reputation, builds preference with stakeholders, and ensures excellence in crisis readiness and response across Zone Europe. You will be working closely with the Communication Specialists in the markets, as well as with the Global Corporate Communications team to ensure PR initiatives as well as business, sustainability and innovation topics run seamlessly and to the highest professional standards. You will be part of the Z-EUR Corporate Communications team based in Vevey, which, together with Government Relations and Sustainability Engagement teams located in Brussels, forms the Z-EUR Corporate Affairs team.

A Day in the Life of a Senior External Communication Specialist, Zone EUR

• Define and steer the Zone-level external communication strategy and narrative that align with Nestlé’s global priorities, Nestlé Europe’s Ambition 2030 and resonate across European markets
• Proactively develop and champion reputation-building initiatives that position Nestlé as a leader in nutrition, sustainability, and innovation, and further develop communications kits for markets
• Govern crisis communications strategies and tactics with robust processes for timely and efficient responses to protect Nestlé’s reputation
• Build an active media relations ecosystem with markets and handle inquiries with exceptional professional standards, equipping markets and senior spokespeople with compelling and error-proof communication
• Be a sparring partner for Senior leadership in communications, prepare and consults for interviews, panel discussions, crisis, etc.
• Lead Z-EUR Reputation tracker process together with markets, align on yearly Communications budget and market programs, own and drive Z-EUR Communications plan, together with Internal Communications and Digital / Brand PR, and team in Brussels
