Background :

The Category Manager, External Manufacturing Drug Product & Finished Goods, develops and executes global procurement strategies to drive category performance and savings. As part of the Category Management team, the role leads strategic initiatives, partners with senior business stakeholders and regional Procurement, and manages supplier relationships. The Manager is responsible for creating and implementing Category Strategies, buying guides, and performance plans aligned with Roche’s category management framework.

Key responsibilities include leading sourcing and supplier management initiatives, ensuring alignment across global, regional, and local Procurement, and translating strategy into practical guidance for business partners. The role requires deep subject-matter expertise, strong leadership, and strategic communication skills to deliver value through cost optimization, innovation, and supplier performance.

Tasks & Responsibilities :

• Strategic Sourcing / CDMO Site Selections including Due Diligence
• Price Negotiation
• Contracting of CMO contracts
• SRM Activities for CMOs
