Asset Manager

Basel, Switzerland

As an IT Asset Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of IT assets, tracking inventory, ensuring compliance with licensing and vendor agreements, optimizing asset utilization, and facilitating cost-effective procurement practices. You will work closely with various teams, including IT, finance, and procurement, to ensure efficient asset management practices are implemented.

Tasks

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive inventory of all IT assets
• Ensure accurate tracking and recording of asset details, such as purchase date, warranty information, and assigned users or departments
• Establish and enforce policies and procedures for asset acquisition, deployment, maintenance, and retirement
• Coordinate and oversee asset disposal processes in compliance with applicable regulations and security standards
• Generate reports on asset inventory, usage, and expenditures
• Ensure compliance with audit requirements and internal control procedures
• Skillset
• Knowledge of IT asset lifecycle management principles and best practices
• Familiarity with IT procurement processes and vendor management
• Excellent organizational skills
• Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in tracking and recording asset information
• Excellent problem-solving skills to address asset-related challenges effectively
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Exchange and OneDrive
• Experience in handling tickets in a ticketing system
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Communication in English and German
