Job description
pFor a challenging network infrastructure project with an internationally operating organisation, we are looking for an experienced Network Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Palo Alto technologies. /p ul liConfigure, install and operate network devices and services, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN solutions and Quality of Service technologies /li liImplement and manage Palo Alto SD-WAN solutions to optimise network performance, availability and security /li liImplement and operate Palo Alto GlobalProtect VPN solutions in combination with Prisma Access /li liPerform network maintenance and system upgrades, including patches, hotfixes, service packs and security configurations /li liProactively monitor network performance and ensure high system availability and reliability /li liAnalyse and resolve network connectivity and performance issues /li liTroubleshoot complex network incidents and provide timely solutions to minimise downtime /li liCollaborate with infrastructure, security, cloud and other IT specialists /li liContinuously improve network performance, resilience and security /li liCreate and maintain comprehensive documentation for network configurations, processes and operational procedures /li /ul ul li3–5 years of proven hands-on experience in network engineering /li liStrong understanding of networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, BGP and OSPF /li liSolid knowledge of network security principles and enterprise network architectures /li liHands-on experience with Palo Alto ION or CloudGenix SD-WAN solutions /li liPractical experience with Palo Alto GlobalProtect /li liExperience with Prisma Access is highly desirable /li liExperience with network monitoring and management tools, preferably SolarWinds Orion /li liStrong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills /li liExcellent communication and interpersonal skills /li liAbility to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team /li liAvailability and willingness to work on-site in Zurich /li /ul
