Your Future Role
140 years of Swiss railway history meet modern solutions for green mobility in Zurich. With 300 colleagues, our Zurich site servs as a global competence center for high-performance traction technology and a development hub for locomotives, bogies, mechanical and electrical systems, as well as services for the local and global markets. Our corporate functions play a key role in supporting and continuously improving the performance of our sites.
You’ll report to Martin BOHAC - Site Project Engineering Manager in Zürich - CH, and work alongside passionate, motivated and dedicated international teammates.
You'll specifically take care of leading traction project developments and delivery. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Product Management, Engineering, Advance Engineering, Quality, Procurement, Operations, Requirements Managers, Customers and Suppliers).
You'll be the person the team turns to for momentum and to push projects and R&D’s forward. No two days are the same, but day-to-day, you’ll manage development targets, requirements and schedules, enable those around you to excel, and much more.
- Perform technical decisions and trade-offs within project team
- Managing Project (R&D or Tender) Engineering activities by delivering Engineering Work Package in compliance with the Engineering QCDP commitment
- Representing Engineering among project core team and manages interfaces with Leading / Participating Units and provide global view of design progress, issues and risks
- Managing functionally the project engineering core team and their commitment for the project or R&D
We’ll look to you for :
Owner and responsible for engineering project work packagesProviding to management regular reporting and performance analysis (PrEM cockpit)Defining and makes applied the Engineering Management PlanProviding to workload manager regular updates on project engineering firm workload including forecasted internal and external change orders, based on inputs from Métier teamsManaging Engineering risks mitigation and savings action plansFollowing and updates baseline on a regular basis, validates Variation Orders demands (external or internal) requested by project, quotes them with involvement from métiers, and updates engineering work packages accordingly, ensuring proper traceability.Approving, as a member of CCB, applicable modifications on product, and updates QCD accordingly.Managing the Global Scheduling Convergence, with support of Engineering Planning Manager.Managing the Operational Quality in order to improve Project executionPlans necessary Design Reviews, checks mandatory attendees are invited, makes sure they are done on-time and mitigate NO GO riskEnsure compliance with applicable rules, instructions and standards, process & tools : Code of Ethics & Compliance, Environment Health & Safety and QualityAll about you
